Mission Honduras

Mission Honduras

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO HONDURAS?

Open Door Ministries has, and continues to, accomplish great things there.
Things like:
-Creating Casa Grande, a home for abused girls who have been through things no girl should have to go through
-Establishing the Village of Hope, a children’s orphanage which is home to over 60 kids
-Operating La Brisas de Amar (The Breezes of Love), two feeding stations in the town of Tocoa where hundreds of poor and homeless children are fed five days a week.
All this was started by our neighbors in Kissimmee, Barry and Penny Compton.
And YOU are invited to be part of it from June 25-July 2, 2016. Whatever skills you have to share can help Barry and Penny minister to these who are most in need.
We hope to have our team established by the end of January. We will begin preparations as a team in February. The cost will be $1200-1500 per person (depending on the cost of air fare). To be on the mission team, you must be able to walk a quarter of a mile, carry your own luggage, and withstand heat and humidity (think Florida in the summer with minimum air conditioning). You will need a passport, and your shots need to be up-to-date. The team will be staying in an air-conditioned hotel near the mission site.
So, is God calling you to the next level in your walk of faith? Please consider it prayerfully, and if you feel you are up to an adventure for God, you can sign the form on our mission table, or contact Ross, Barbie Brady, or Steve Bate.
